At the heart of Berkshire Financial Planning is me – Samsu Miah. I founded Berkshire Financial Planning in 2019, after spending 15 years working for two of the biggest banks in the UK and Europe. During that time, I worked closely with their high-net-worth clients (including the CEOs of multinational companies and successful entrepreneurs) to help them not only manage their wealth more effectively, but managing their returns more effectively by minimising their tax, and plan for a comfortable retirement.
But as high-street banking became more transactional and inflexible in nature, I started to lose some of the more personal elements of the job that I really loved. Since this new direction didn’t really match my approach to financial planning, I decided to part ways with the bigger banks and set up my own firm.
By creating Berkshire Financial Planning, I’m now able to dedicate 100% of my time to listening, evaluating, and creating individual solutions for my clients. I firmly believe that trust is the foundation of any relationship with a financial adviser, and that takes time to develop. In fact, over the years many of my clients have become friends, and they often come to me for advice and opinions on non-financial matters as well.
That’s exactly why I make it my mission to get to know you, your situation, and your goals, so that I can help you achieve every single one of them. Not only that, but I help you understand it all, by explaining the complex world of finance in simple, easy-to-understand terms. You’ll find no jargon here!

When I’m not creating financial plans for my clients, I’m usually learning all about the Disney Princesses from my two Disney mad young daughters! And in my spare time, I love all types of sports with a particular interest in Tennis, Boxing and cheering on my beloved Liverpool Football Club.
